Never Seduced a Scot by Maya Banks

Maya Banks, She is great. Totally loveable in person. I believe I like her historical novel better than her erotica novel. Never Seduced a Scot!!

I really recommend this book if one your love scotmen and two if you love scotmen. LOL. Banks' character are so tender and endearing. The story take place in Scotland, there is a feud between the Armstrongs and Montgomery. The king decides that this feud has gone long enough order Graeme Montgomery to marry Eveline Armstrong. However, Eveline is "touched" in other words mentally challenged (deaf) after an accident. But no one know that Eveline actually is aware of her surrounds and can read lips. Eveline is automatically attractive to her husband Graeme. Eventually, Graeme find out that Eveline can speak and they start to have a normal marriage however, Eveline's former fiancee come back to the picture.

Ms. Banks is an expert in writing engaging character that anyone can fall in love with. This story is part of a new series called Armstrong and  Montgomery. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. :p I want to thank Edelweiss for the opportunity to read this in advance. Thank you so much!!

Lord of Temptation by Lorraine Heath

Lorraine Heath one of my favorite authors. One of my favorite book of her is Waking up with the Duke. That being said, I was really disappointed by her last book. However, I believe she has turned a new left with Lord of Temptation.

The characters Tristan and Anne were characters I could fall in love with. Anne is a young lady who want Tristan aka Crimson Jack to take her to Scutari to meet with her fiancee. However, the price for taking her is a kiss. Only one kiss however, Tristan has to choose the time and place where this kiss will take place. This voyage to Scutari really tests our hero. He find out that Anne's fiancee is dead and that she came to Scutari to say goodbye. So begins their affair, a short lived affair that keep Tristan and Anne wanting more.

Ms. Heath know how to tell a story. If you love romance, you must read this book. You will enjoy it. I want to thank edelweiss for the chance to read this book in advance.

My Scandalous Viscount By Gaelen Foley Review

Gaelen Foley is one of those authors you automatically buy their book. My Scandalous Viscount is one of them. I just love the chemistry between Beauchamp and Carissa.

I really can relate with Carissa. She call herself "lady of information" which is totally me. The story take place in London during and alittle after Westwood and Emily book. Beauchamp is in the middle of internal investigation of the order. He is trying to juggle trying to protect his few order members from being labeled traitors and Carissa finding out the truth about the order. However, Beauchamp can not keep this "secret" from the "lady of information." Carissa soon finds out that Beauchamp is in the order and that her best friend's husbands are too. On top of that Beauchamp has to keep his former friend and order member from committing treason and of course protect the Carissa.

I was very intrigued by the new characters, Nick and Trevor. I can't wait to read their stories. :) Thank you edelweiss for the advance copy.

Review on Persuasion by Brenda Joyce

I just want to say that I am a huge Brenda Joyce fan and her books come out, I automatically buy them. With this being said, I was not a huge fan of her last book, Seduction. I felt the character were a little under developed and the plot was not very enticing. However, I thought I could give Amelia’s book Persuasion, is the second book of the Spy Masters series a try.
Persuasion, starts with the dead of Simon Grenville, the Earl of St. Jude wife. At first, Amelia is surprise and bewilder by seeing Simon back in Cornwall. She is still scared by their failed romance 10 years ago. However, she accepts the Simon’s proposal of being his housekeeper.

Simon now a widower, is a little astonished by the fact that Amelia is unattached and that he still feel an attraction toward her. Disregarding his feeling and the fact that he might endanger Amelia’s life he ask her to be his housekeeper.

Amelia’s role as housekeeper is to look over the house, staff and of course the Greenville children. Amelia fall in love with Greenville children especially the baby girl. We can see Amelia’s maternal side. Greenville is fighting his lust of Amelia as well as being a double agent for both the British and French.

Amelia and Simon story is a beautiful love story, very endearing and filled with a slap of suspense. However, I felt the Joyce did not entirely resolve the reason behind why Simon left 10 year before. I felt Amelia was to quick to forget the past. However, I really enjoyed the story and I felt it was better than her previous book.

I can’t wait to read Jack book and I have a feeling that Lucas and Nadine might have a romance in the future. What do you guys think?

I want to thank NetGallery for the opportunity to read one of my favorite authors. J Thank you so much!

Review on Waking up with the Duke by Lorraine Heath

WOW!! This is my first book I have read from Lorraine Heath and I really enjoyed it. I thought that this book was going to be a little different however, I loved the plot and the development of all the characters.

-------- Spoliers!--------------------------------------------------
The story began when Ransom Seymour, the Duke of Ainsley known as Ainsley must repay his debt from his cousin/best friend Marquess of Walfort aka Walfort. Walfort requires Ainsley to sleep with his wife Lady Jayne Seymour, Marchioness of Walfort in order for her to conceive a child that Jayne very much desire;but Walfort cannot produce due to an accident that has left him paralyzed from the waist down. Ainsley is reluctantly agree with the bargain however, believe Jayne will never accept due to the fact that Ainsley had cause the accident that had left Walfort paralyzed and led to her miscarriage.

When Walfort informs Jayne of the bargain with Ainsley, she is appalled. How could she be so intimate with a man she despise so much? Walfort assures her that this is the only way they can have a child together. Jayne is reluctant, however agree with the bargain after a forbidden kiss from Ainsley.

But Jayne doesn't make this easy. She agree only if there are 2 rules. (1) That Ainsley not kiss her and (2) that she will not have pleasure from Ainsley. But Ainsley has a his own requirements too. His only requirements is that Jayne love the child. After all the parties agrees even Walfort, the bargain begins.

Ainsley takes Jayne to his home in order to commence one month baby making. Ainsley and Jayne are both apprehensive physical and emotional trials of the act itself. Each day and night goes by and Ainsley and Jayne fall in love with each other. In the end it is bitter sweet that the month ended.

When Jayne goes back to her husband she asks Ainsley why he didn't kiss her. He responds that it was not part of the bargain and he didn't want to break her rules. Jayne is so moved that she kisses him.

Well, I can go on and on but eventually we find out Jayne is pregnant and to complicate thing Walfort has a few secrets of his own.

Overall, it was an awesome book. Totally love it. Would read it again and again. Love the characters, the plot is excellent. Overall A!!

Review on When Passion Rules by Johanna Lindsey

I enjoy this book more than Johanna's last book. I felt that there could be more to the book and more depth to the character. I felt there should have been more chemistry but alot better than the las Malory book. Johanna Lindsey is still one of my favorite authors but this book need more humph. But overall a good read.
